ABOUT ALICE HUGHES
Alice Hughes is a Grierson and BIFA nominated producer whose work has been screened internationally, as well as nationwide in cinemas and on major VOD platforms such as BFI Player, Amazon, Apple TV, Curzon Home Cinema and BAFTA Qualifying festivals such as LSFF and LIFF. With Daisy-May Hudson and Claire O'Neill, she runs Beehive Films, a production company that create character-driven films with social issues at its core. She has been selected for BFI x BAFTA Crew 2021.
The success of their debut feature Half Way led the director (Daisy May Hudson) to be named BAFTA Breakthrough Brit in 2017, after screening in Picturehouses across the country as well as the Houses of Parliament and City Hall; it was the first film in history to be used as official evidence in an inquiry.
Alongside her independent work, Alice has worked across broadcast, online and commercial projects, including archive producing and editorial work on documentaries for Channel 4, Netflix, and Channel 5. She has also produced content for global brands such as Google, eBay, Heineken Group, YouTube Music, HSBC and more. Happy seeing projects from conception through to the edit, she has worked on a variety of projects ranging from producing international shoots to overseeing smaller animation projects.
As a creative producer, she holds skills in directing and editing, regularly producing corporate and charity content for a number of clients.
